How Invisalign Works
If you’re considering Invisalign®, the first step is to schedule an appointment with our team. We will examine your teeth during your dental visit and discuss your treatment options. If you’re a candidate for Invisalign®, we will take impressions of your teeth and send them to the Invisalign® lab. The lab will use the impressions to create a custom treatment plan for you.
Once your new aligners are ready, you’ll come back to our office to have them fitted. You’ll wear every set of aligners for about two weeks before moving on to the next set. You’ll need to wear your aligners for 20 to 21 hours daily to achieve the best results. After that, you should only remove them to drink, eat, floss, and brush your teeth.
Most people complete their Invisalign treatment in about 12 months. However, each case is unique, so our orthodontists will be able to give you a more accurate timeline during your consultation.
If you’re ready to improve your smile, Invisalign® may be the right choice. Please schedule an appointment with our experienced dentists today to learn more about this popular treatment option.
How Much Does Invisalign Cost?
The cost of Invisalign® treatment varies depending on the severity of your case. Our team will be able to give you a more accurate estimate during your consultation. In general, Invisalign is comparable in cost to traditional metal braces. However, the exact price will depend on your treatment plan.
Some dental insurance plans cover the cost of Invisalign® treatment. Our team can help you determine if your insurance plan will cover part or all of the cost of treatment.
We also offer financing options to make Invisalign® more affordable. We understand that orthodontic treatment is a significant investment, so we want to make it as easy as possible for you to get the treatment you need.
Does Invisalign Hurt?
Invisalign® is a gentle way to straighten teeth; most people report little to no discomfort while wearing the aligners. This is because, unlike traditional braces, Invisalign® doesn’t contain any uncomfortable wires or sharp metal brackets. While Invisalign® is typically a more comfortable option, you may still experience some soreness or tenderness when you start wearing the Invisalign® aligners or move to a new set.
If you experience any discomfort, it should go away within a few days. You can also take over-the-counter pain relievers if you need to.
